They seem to get quite a kick out of making people jump through hoops to buy very expensive products.īefore I begin my litany of grievances, I will say that I called the store to file a complaint. They take plenty of time to laugh and joke with each other, while ignoring and then preventing entrance to customers who are trying to enter a retail store. Seems like the security team is on quite a power trip against senior citizens. I had to state my business to him before getting back inside. (Our 2:00 appointment really started at around 2:40)After moving the car, I again stood in line, had my temperature checked, was granted permission to enter, and was then blocked by another guard who was one foot away from the first guard. No other customers left at that time so it wasn’t a capacity issue.Later I had to leave briefly to move our car because the appointment took so long. He then waited a couple of minutes and decided to let us in. I was blocked by the guard and told that it was not “invitation to enter”. After waiting in the Walk up Line, having my temperature taken, having our appointment verified by a check in person, and told we were all set, I made the mistake of trying to enter the store.

When we arrived, we followed what the large signs said ( stood by the Appt already made sign) and were told to go stand at the back of the Walk up Line. We were always treated fairly by staff until yesterday.Yesterday we experienced the new, outdoor check in policy and were treated rudely by two different Security people. We understand the popularity of Apple products and the resulting chaotic atmosphere. My husband and I have been to the Apple Store in Naperville several times in the past and have had somewhat pleasant shopping experiences. While 5 employees (to lazy to walk away from there conversations with their buddies) stand around. While I have to leave work early again just to get a product I purchased from them taken care of. Employee says, “we are not taking stand by appointments at this time.” So now I have to wait a week for something they could have handled in about 15 minutes right there on the spot and we all would have been happy. There were 5 employees standing around and I have to wait a week before they can help me? I calmly stated why can’t anyone here help me. So, the employee that helped me says, “we are not taking walk up appointments at this time.”It will be a week before I can give you an appointment. I have been to Apple for Apple care issues before and it took about 15 minutes tops to handle my issue.

All that were outside were standing around. All that were inside seemed to be with someone. There were about 5-6 Apple employees outside and there was a bunch inside.

I don’t have a ton of free time in the day so as soon as I had the chance I ran right to the Apple store. So, I went to the Apple store to exchange them with my Apple care. As a person that works all day (in customer service) I wear my airpods 80% of the day. It seems there are places that use it to their advantage. In a time when customer service should be king. I am going to start calling some customer service the Covid excuse soon. To be honest I used this Apple store plenty of times with no issues. I give three stars because of the first young guy wasnt that friendly or helpful. I didnt feel intimidated and the guy made the process so wonderful. Apparently, Apple made a change with having older staff members vs. This man was wonderful guiding me through the set up. I followed him to another table with a older staff member and was told he would help me with the phone. Then an older man came out asked me my name and I asked him about getting assistance with the set up. The phone was handed to the younger guy and I was told to wait a minute.

I figured I would be dealing with the setup on my own. A younger employee checked us in and when I asked him if someone could me set up the phone, he got quiet and went on to help the next customer. We were greeted by an older employee who directed us to the back of the store. I had my husband come with me because it was his idea on me getting a new phone.

So, I ordered the phone online and the pickup location was the one in Naperville. My husband encouraged me to get the iPhone 13 SE because my current phones battery was tired. I was reluctant to trade in my phone because going to any Apple store was always a painful experience.
